Peggy Little’s succes started on a front porch in Marlin, Tex., when she was singing and rocking her little brother to sleep one afternoon. A man named Jerry Dykes heard her, at first thinking someone had a radio turned up full blast, and immediately offered her a job singing for a Waco, Tex., radio station.
